Arts & Crafts Coordinator
Friendship Village Columbus was named Top Workplace in 2016 and 2017 by CEO Magazine and is now seeking a part-time Arts & Crafts Coordinator to add to our exceptional team and community. This position is responsible for planning, organizing, directing and implementing a variety of art and craft related activities (drawing, painting, ceramics, crafts, needlework, calligraphy, etc.) designed to encourage residents to participate in classes and workshops for social development, recreation, and intellectual diversion with physical and cultural stimulation.
Qualified candidates must enjoy working with the senior population and have creative abilities in a variety of arts and crafts related areas, with a strong background in drawing and painting. A Bachelor’s Degree in art, recreational therapy, or a related field is strongly preferred.
Friendship Village is a not-for-profit community established in 1978, governed by an independent Board of Directors and managed by United Church Homes. Our mission is to promote independence, wellness and community for older adults in an active and friendly continuing-care environment.
